Apple Bread Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups apples, peeled & diced
- 2 cups plain flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
How it’s done
- Preheat the oven to 175 degrees and prepare your loaf tin
- Beat the eggs, sugar, vegetable oil and vanilla extract together
- Add your apples to the mix and stir in
- Mix the flour, salt, baking powder and cinnamon in a sperate bowl. Once mixed, add it to the wet mixture. Stir until evenly combined into a thick batter
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan
Note: For a delicious crust on top, add the topping from the Blueberry Muffins recipe - Bake for 45 mins. Cover the loaf pan with tin foil and back for a further 15 mins. Cool in the pan for 10 mins and then remove to cool completely on a wire rack
To make crumb topping: Mix 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/3 cup of flour, 1/4 cup of butter and 1 1/2 teaspoons of cinnamon. Mix with a fork or crumble with your fingers.
