Apple Bread Recipe

Apple Bread Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups apples, peeled & diced
  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

How it’s done

  1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees and prepare your loaf tin
  2. Beat the eggs, sugar, vegetable oil and vanilla extract together
  3. Add your apples to the mix and stir in
  4. Mix the flour, salt, baking powder and cinnamon in a sperate bowl. Once mixed, add it to the wet mixture. Stir until evenly combined into a thick batter
  5. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan
    Note: For a delicious crust on top, add the topping from the Blueberry Muffins recipe
  6. Bake for 45 mins. Cover the loaf pan with tin foil and back for a further 15 mins. Cool in the pan for 10 mins and then remove to cool completely on a wire rack

To make crumb topping: Mix 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/3 cup of flour, 1/4 cup of butter and 1 1/2 teaspoons of cinnamon. Mix with a fork or crumble with your fingers.
